Shrinking issue

Aunty bought this Yuna Telekung for my daughter and after the 1st wash bef use the top telekung shrunk by a few cm. Now her hands become visible when praying because of the shrinkage. Also it covers less her back. Is this normal and have the customer been advised through the specifications or detaills.
