Selected verses of duas made by Prophets in Quran

Posted by ZAAHARA .COM on

Prophets are selected individuals who Muslims believed that Allah has sent to various civilizations from Adam (a.s) to the last Prophet which is Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). These Prophets are meant to show good example to human on the purpose of their creation and also on the concept of God itself.

In total there are around 124,000 Prophets being sent to humankind but we are only obliged to learn 25 Prophets as stipulated in the Quran.

Prophets are also human beings are they are by far the best examples of human for us to follow and emulate. Their stories on the challenges are being documented in Quran as a proof that they existed. We emulate them by making dua during hardship and need, in order to achieve peace and success in our lives as well.

Every Prophets will have trials and tribulations when doing the dakwah activities. So for us who are living 1400 years after Prophet Muhammad (saw), certainly we will be faced with difficulties daily.

Allah has mentioned in Quran :

And your Lord says, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible. (40:60)

From this Ayah, we should always take note on the importance of prayer and making dua. Clearly Allah has mentioned this. It is therefore a sign of arrogance if someone does not offer anything which is highly being specified such as this ayah.

Being a believer, Dua is such an important activity that shouldn’t be an act that are being taken for granted in our daily life. There are numerous dua’s that ie being made by the Prophets and also pious people in Quran.

There are many times we encounter a lot of questions on what kind of duas to make daily since wrong dua can actually lead to something that is unexpectedly.

Prophet Adam (a.s) is the first human created by Allah and he is also the first of mankind to make a Dua.

It is interesting to note and ponder on why he committed sin whereby he was already in Jannah.

To answer this, we can look at the dua made by him as he is also the first human to commit sin and Allah has guided him on how to repent and make a dua.
