Too Late for Breakfast, Too Early for Lunch : It’s Brunch

  1. Dotty’s

 Dotty's Taman Tun

Dotty’s is a pastry-fanatic’s dream. From the bright and beautiful display of freshly baked pastries and goodies to the actual food that they serve. And yes, to all of those Instagrammers : the food looks just as good as it tastes.

It is a perfect addition to any foodie’s aesthetically pleasing food moments. And Dotty’s is not without their speciality : the famous Salted Egg Yolk Cronut. It is a bed of pillow puff pastry that is coated with an amazing salty and tangy salted egg yolk dressing. Biting into this is just so good that you may even get addicted. But sadly, walk-ins are only allowed to indulge in 4 (per person). And yes, these cronuts are so good that you may want 5 of them. So call ahead of time if you would to place a big order of these cronuts. Apart from the cronuts, they serve a variety of pastas and brunch worthy plates that will send your heart aflutter.

  1. Nutmeg

 Nutmeg Bangsar

Do you like your breakfast or brunch at basically any time of the day? Well look no further because Nutmeg gives you exactly that. They have an all-day breakfast menu that is equipped with some delicious tasting Eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce that tops those English muffins with the poached eggs creates a symphony of creaminess. It truly is something to try out if you happen to find yourself near a Nutmeg. Not only do they have a great selection of brunch menu items, they also have a great display of tea time cakes and scones. My personal favourite has to be the Hummingbird cake which is light but decadent at the same time. Coats your stomach with a happy little buzzing effect, like a hummingbird.

UGF-8A, Bangsar Village II 2, 2, Jalan Telawi 1, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Open everyday from 9:30am to 10pm.

  1. The Red Beanbag

 The Red Bean Bag

Similar to Nutmeg, The Red Beanbag provides its customers with an all-day breakfast and they pride themselves on being a top-spot for breakfast and brunch seekers. Their menu has a mix of different influences. Ranging from a Scandinavian classic of salmon served on toast to a French staple breakfast sandwich. Now that we are talking about it : the Croque Monseiur/Madame (the only difference is that the Croque Madame has an egg on top) is a must-try at this cafe. It’s a one-up of a classical grilled cheese. Instead of cheddar, they use mozzarella and they use quality turkey ham. All of it drenched in more and more cheese. Definitely a french classic made for us Malaysians.
