5 reasons why I use Uber instead of driving

Posted by ZAAHARA .COM on

Ever since the introduction of Uber to our streets of Malaysia, there has been an incline in the demand for this reliable and easy service. Some people use Uber as an emergency or some use as daily mode of transportation. Regardless of the reason why we use Uber, here are some reasons why I prefer to take an Uber rather than driving myself.

  1. Hands-free driving

Primarily with an Uber, all the driving is done for you. You are able to enjoy the luxury of being driven to your destination. For a lot of us, driving can be fun. However, there comes a price with driving such as the unpredictability of traffic jams, heavy rain, road blocks, road accidents and so forth. No one wants to deal with that. With an Uber, you do not have to worry about anything apart from keeping your seat belt on and enjoy the ride.

  1. Get work done on the commute

Another advantage of being driven is the ability to get work done on the commute. With your hands free to roam about, you could do things that you did not think you had time for. Some would choose to get some last-minute work done, others choose to fix their hair, do their makeup or even scroll through Instagram. In an Uber, you have time to do these small things and do not need to multi-manage, that could risk your life of the lives of others on the road.

  1. Parking-less

Malaysia has a plethora of great shopping malls, shop lots, activities and places to go in general. But regardless of what time, day or place we go to, we will all have one common problem: finding a parking space. With an Uber, parking is not a problem. There is literally nothing to park. All you have to do is get off and not be burdened with driving in circles, losing patience or getting frustrated.

  1. New acquaintances

In an Uber, if you want to, you have someone to talk to. There are a bunch of Uber drivers and they are all different. Some are in their 20s; some are in their 40s. Some have stories to share of their own and some will politely listen to your stories. Either way, in an Uber, you get the chance of meeting someone new and potentially gaining a new friend. And that is a small token of its own.

  1. Accessible and available at any time

Ubers are a 24-hour service. You might need an early morning ride to the airport or a ride home from the KL nightlife, and an Uber would be available for you. Regardless of how early or how late it may be; you could get an Uber at any time of the day. Most of Kuala Lumpur, and several other cities in Malaysia, have Uber services. Therefore, you could be in Bangsar or Damansara or Shah Alam or Klang and Uber will be there for you; making Uber very dependable and helpful for whatever situation we find ourselves in.
